Contract made and entered into by W.A. McDonald of first part,
Silas Bailey colored man the second part.

They will crop together for this year, said McDonald is to furnish, Horse fores to make the crop and Tools and bear all the expense of farming Tools Will furnish Waggon & Teams to do the hauling on the plantation and Hauling crops to market, and furnish what land he thinks will be sufficient for said hands to work and will feed the Teams of the above that is mentioned it is all the expense said McDonald is to be at.

I Silas Bailey do bind myself to take good care of the Mules curry & rub them & also good care of waggon & team & all the farming tools, & will have good work done & take care of the crop & geather & house it. Said Silas is to repair & make good fenceing around the land that he cultivates, clear up the branches through the land, and clear up the land that is grown up in the field and Bill the houses to live in, and is to keep Said McDonald in fire wood, and Said Silas is to furnish the following named hands to suit himself. Andrew Ussery, George Dowel, Trace Baily, Nat Ussery, Sharlottie Ussery, Ellen Ussery, Jane Baily, & will board himself, and Said Silas Binds his part of the crop to Said McDonald, to pay himself [[strikethrough]] wh [[/strikethrough]] for what he may furnish for said Silas, and is to have the controle of the crop & sell it and pay himself.
