Dear Ben Dwight:

I was in the act of starting a letter to you re the NCAI convention when the postman brought your letter and the NCAI bulletin. My questions are answered, and now I shall answer yours.

You can add my name to the list of delegates for I have definitely made up my mind about being present. And, I'm quite excited over the prospects of seeing so many old friends and having a share in the organization which can mean so much to Indians. The war restrictions and distance have maed it impossible for me to attend the other meetings but from now on, I can be counted among those..." ". I will be an official representative of our Los Angeles NCAI chapte The group here is composed of many tribes and have wondered if we are entitled to a vote in the congress? This question need not be answered until I see you for I shall be able to report such details to the group after returning. Have asked several others about going but no one else can make it at this time.

It is wonderful that you have been able to arrange for the convention to be held in the capitol building. This will give dignity, significance and save much expense. Congratulations!

Since I have relatives and friends in Oklahoma City, will hope that I can presume on their hospitality and save hotel space for others; so, no need for reservations.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,
Ataloa
