have been judge of the Twelfth Judicial District and while away on Indian matters my fellow district Judges have been good enough to help me with my official duties. So we have men in this organization like Ben Dwight, Ed Rogers, W. W. Short, Robert Bennett, and others who are gainfully employed, who give a part of their time to our cause. Much of the cost of our program has been met by them personally. The tribes can come into the organization and make a contribution to create a fund which will enable us to carry on a constructive program for them. When the committee you have authorized the President to appoint makes its report to the Executive Council it will require money to permit the Council to meet to form its program. Heretofore most of them came at their own expense, but this should not be, because most of them are not able to do so. Whenever we adopt a program and Indian bills come up in Congress we want to support or oppose, it will be necessary for the President or Secretary or some other leader to go to Washington in our behalf. We agreed to pay Mrs. Bronson $60 per month for expenses in order to use her home as our National office and we owe her some few months for that. None of us want her to carry this load for us. The report is before you for your consideration. I think it would be proper at this time to appoint the nominating committee to nominate officers for the ensuing year for your consideration. When this committee meets and nominates officers if you do not agree with it you may make other nominations. In the interest of time I will appoint the nominating committee now so it may be working while we consider the report of the Membership Committee. I will appoint Chas. Victory; Alvin Warren; Peter Waltz; and David Johnson. The report of the Membership Committee is before the house. It has been explained. Are you ready for the question? All in favor of the report of the Membership Committee will make it known by saying Aye. Contrary No, (The motion carried - and the report is adopted.) JUDGE JOHNSON: The meeting will adjourn until 1:00 o'clock p.m. December 6, 1947 Afternoon Session Meeting was called to order at 1:15 p.m. by the Chairman. Judge N. B. Johnson.
