Judge N. B. Johnson,
Claremore, Oklahoma.

My dear Judge Johnson:-

I have had a conference with D'Arcy McNickle,
Charles Heackock, and others here end these are our suggestions for the convention program. Theme of the convention "One for all, and all for One." Or, "United we endure."

1st day.
Registration of delegates in the forenoon.
Convention convenes at 1.20. Opened by invocation. Then number by the Sente Fe Indian School choir.
Address of welcome by Abel Fei Sano, Chairman of the All Pueblo Council.
Reply by President Johnson, who will at this time give the keynote speech. This should stress the theme of the Conference, and should perhaps point out that the Pueblos were a good illustration of the effectiveness of united effort; that they joined together first in our knowledge of history in 1680 under Pope' to defeat the invaders who would have enslaved them.
Then again in 1923 they joined together to protect themselves against Secretary Fell. And were successful both times. Stress need today for Indians to unite on an even larger scale.

Then is sue invitation to delegates to introduce themselves; where they are from, whom they represent, etc.

Evening, December 4th.
Opening, invocation. Might ask the Sante Fe Indian School choir to sing again.
Address Senator Chavez (preferred) He is especiall[y] interested in the Good Neighbor relations with South America and Mexico. Ask him to talk on this and what it would mean to the Indians of the Americas.
If Chavez is not available, ask Senator Hatch,
3rd choice Congressman Fernandez; DO NOT ASK THE GOVERNOR OF NEW MEXICO, because he has made too many nasty remarks about Indians
