{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
right? Red as a beak! If my wife had seen me then, she would have divorced me, she would have said, "Gaspar, you've had it!"
[00:07:14]

{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
So I didn't know what to do, and I says to the lifeguard, "I have to come down here, but I'm going to learn a lesson from all this."
[00:07:21]

{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
So as I came down, all the women start to clap hands. [[laughter]] And there was a big ovation of people just around, just the women in particular,
[00:07:33]

{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
they were in their-- they also were in their birthday suits. Little did I know this was a massage parlor [[laughter]].
[00:07:44]

{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
Now this is not an ordinary place. It's a massage parlor that was for very, you know-- Stop poking me! [[laughter]] That's my sentence alright.
[00:07:54]

{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
But, as embarrassed as I was, I had to come down from the ladder. When I finally did they all clapped hands and all that.
[00:08:01]

{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
And I says to myself, "The motto of this story is one thing: Next time I go onto a job I have to carry a bathing suit." [[Laughter]] Thank you.
[00:08:13]

[[Audience applauds]]

{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
Well it actually happened!
[00:08:18]

{SPEAKER name="Unknown Speaker 1"}
You can't make that stuff up!

{SPEAKER name="Gaspar Ingui"}
Yeah yeah you can't make that up
[00:08:21]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 3"}
Robbie, could you talk a little bit about-- You were talking about, there's a certain look that some people want for their work
[00:08:28]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 3"}
when you have to make neon for them, and I guess some occupational groups, some ethnic groups like to look, have certain sorts of look.
[00:08:34]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 3"}
Are you--do you get sorta have the same sorts of requests for work at times?
[00:08:39]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
Uh, there's no doubt that certain people that we get to deal with have certain --
[00:08:46]

--things, certain cultures behind them that they bring to America and they expect to continue with that look.
[00:08:54]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
So, depending on the nationality, I mean, one, in the morning I could deal with a guy from Pakistan, and in the afternoon I could have an Italian pizza guy, and then at night I'll be dealing with a Chinese restaurant.
[00:09:06]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
So I could be dealing with a multitude of people. And yeah, I do find certain people, certain nationalities want certain colors or certain designs or certain styles.
[00:09:18]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
Uh, when it comes to Indians, they like a lotta colors, lotta different colors. Even though they have a doctor's office, they want 100 colors.
[00:09:27]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
Uh, in --no, not so much for the blue and white thing. Uh, Italian people, as a rule when they want neon, no matter what kind of place they have, it's gotta be red, white and green.
[00:09:41]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
No matter what. I should just make a bunch of red, white and green pizza signs, and I'll sell them to all the Italians.
[00:09:46]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
The Chinese like very detailed, intricate kind of work that drives me crazy trying to bend this glass, and who knows. One quick story.
[00:10:00]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
My father made a Korean sign once. Korean letters, and he installed it. The father came out with his robe on, it was like a deli and he's screaming, waving a meat cleaver, "Oh what you do? What you do!"
[00:10:14]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
Well, turns out the son came out, laughing. My father had hung the sign upside down, so it looked like something completely different. The guy thought he made a mistake.
[00:10:24]

{SPEAKER name="Robbie Ingui"}
So these little things I get to deal with every day. It's always something different, and I always find
[00:10:31]
