Dear Sir
I wrote to General Sickles Col Evrey at Raleigh but no answer then I was told you was the man for this District I wrote you & no answer Gen Goff told me on the train wright you again 
my reason for Protection is this 4 Rail Roads 
This is a junction  
I came hear with Farther and Mother 1 sister & 2 brothers from the North with the expectations of opening a Laboratory & Real Estate office  
I rented a house in this place belonged to what was cald Roanoake Libary Society Rufus Daniels President of Society he managed all wages to fore the Samuel Glantry his Rum Hole with the aide of his Suckers offer to pay rent in advance on every month or give security for the year on property
