Dear Mr. Feitelson,

Thank you very much for your letter concerning our meeting in late October in Los Angeles. I am glad to hear that Diane Moran will be writing an article on Postsurrealism for the American Art Review; you are certainly right that an interview in the same issue would be somewhat repetitive.

I did not want to wait any longer to acknowledge receipt of your kind letter, but the exact dates of my stay in L.A. are still a bit uncertain. Coincidentally, I have been asked to give a brief talk at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art on October 27, so it is most likely that I will be in L.A. for several days before and after that date.

Thank you for your phone number. I will call in a week or two so we can set up a more precise date. You must know that I am eagerly looking forward to our meeting. Going through the Feitelson-Lundeberg papers in the Archives of American Art, I feel as if we've already met.

Sincerely,
Mitchell Kahan
