Dear Mr. Horowitz:

Upon receipt of your notice of the tragic death of Charles White, I thought it might interest you to know that his drawing The Mother, 1952, is currently displayed in our Museum with an "In Memorium" label alongside. The drawing has been on view since the notice of his passing appeared in the New York Times. It had previously hung for more than a year in the inaugural exhibition which opened this Museum.

I would appreciate it if you expressed my deepest sympathy to Mrs. White, who may remember me.

Sincerely yours,
