Athens Ala, Nov 3rd 1867  States that the premises occupied by her school have been ordered by Gen'l Swayne to be restored to Fred Salzner its former owner.  Asks if transfer is authorized by Com'r. & Can it be countermanded, If executed a Graded School of 100 hundred pupils & four teachers will be disbanded. She was assured by Com'r in Sept last when in Washington that the school should not be broken up.  Filed |
