Colonel;

I have the honor to ask if an increase of rent of building occupied by the "Sear's School" in this city to $25 per month, would receive your approval.

Mr. Sears says his present room is very crowded and applies to their office to rent a larger room. I have found a room that can be had for the purpose, which will better accommodate the school and be much better warmed.

Such a change is necessary and your approval of increase of rent is respectfully recommended.

Very Respectfully
Your Obt Servt

Sub. Asst. Comm'r.

Transcription Notes:
Can't read the beginning and ending of the handwritten part. Not sure what the transcriber is referring to here. Seems accurate although Bu and c bothers me here and elsewhere.
