our leaving. As it is doubtful whether any other suitable building than the one now held can be attained for a summer school, will it not be better to retain the present one, in the hope that Miss Co. or some other teacher can be procured? (I refer simply to the building rented of H. V. M Miller.)

It is utterly impossible to obtain any competent teacher hereabouts.

On going north I will use by best endeavors to get some one of the Benevolent Associations to occupy Eufaula the coming year; but the influence of the Superintendents is infinitely greater than mine, and will, I am sure, be sported for the same end.

Mrs. Wheeler & I are under many obligations to you, and all our good friends in Montgomery, for your kind exertions in our behalf. Am sorry there is to be no transportation for Mrs. W. but the appointment in store for me will enable us to be reconciled therewith.
