Talladega Ala, Apr 2nd/66

Mr. Buckley
Montgomery Ala,

Dear Sir,
Your kind favor of the 27th inst is just rec'd & although I am pleased to get so kind, & encouraging a letter, I am disappointed in not having help sooner. I have come from the school-room this evening, almost sick with fatigue, have had 100 scholars today - Not less than 90 any time last week, - Unless I get help soon I am afraid I shall have to give up the school, but will do the best I can, until I do get assistance.

I will send you a full report of my school at the end of this month, if I can get blamks from Capt Taylor, I have not seen him yet.
