at some important point a model school, or a system of education which shall be worthy of pattern anywhere. One is a married Lady, whose husband will remain here. Has been principal of 1st class Seminarys; the other unmarried but one of the best Teachers in our public schools. Each are Ladys of high culture & education. We cannot decide about Mr Martindale until I see you. I hope you will do all in your power to arrange for successful colored schools, & you will do a great thing in initiating a good work for Alabama, & with Gods blessing we may expect good & great results  In haste I am Your friend
