Mr. Jarrett.

Sir.
Having been informed by you personaly, that it is your intention to open a School in this place for the benefit of the Freedmen, and that you have every assurance from the Bureau that will establish its prosperity and Successfulness - I most respectfully ask your consent to be admitted as Assistant and if accepted to prove how anxious I am to merrit the approbations of those that shall be entrusted to may care.
