Clyde O. Aug. 16. 1867.

Rev. C. W. Buckley. Supt. Ed.

My Dear Sir.--

It is now just a month since the "iron horse" brought us within the borders of the "Buckeye State", from our brief sojourn in the Sunny South. During that time, little else has occurred or happened to your friends here in Clyde, than a round of visiting and recruiting, have about an hour's talk with Mr. Cravath, who called to see us a week since.

The result of the conversation was the remark from Mr. C. as he jumped aboard the cars, "Well, I guess you may expect to go." - i.e. to Montgomery.

Transcription Notes:
Can't quite figure out the "Louis talk" sentence.
