Dear Sir, [[??]] [[??]] [[?]] from the Central office at [[?]] have sent to Washington for the transportation of the teachers for the filling of [[?]] [[?]] which has occasioned quite a delay. The transportation has not yet come. I now request that I did not send them forward as has been done previously. Shall send hereafter unless you didnot authorize without this delay.
I see that the State is likely to prevail for free schools for all classes. This will make more inductions the necessity. if pushing our schools forward to training schools for teachers. These schools must be made to furnish teachers for the general educational work. I regret this delay but I admit as at the time it seemed necessary to do in order to secure this transportation. I hear from Bureau Head Quarters at Lewisville that transportation can be collected as formerly.
Very truly yours,
E.M. Cravath
