satisfactory provisions can be made to do whatever may be necessary to receive the building of the "Swayne School" at Montgomery. At Marion Bro. Silsby thinks the colored people can purchase a site & help in erecting the building. 
We are not able now to place our hand on the $2,000. required to purchase the college at Talledega but feel confident of being able to do so within a few days. We approve your judgement in selecting that place as the best suited for a Normal or Collegiot school. There are several similar oferings just none in the South and the call on  our treasury is great. We are confident however of being able to carry this too. 
May I trouble you to write me at Cincinnati giving the conditions in which the property is and the methos by which the purchase can be made. Bro. Silsby gave us your proposition to pay for half of the property & to retain the building. It is desirable to get the property at once. 
We have found it difficult to get the young men asked for in Ala. as promptly as we had hoped. There are now several and will report room.
