they can, but we are not able, owing to the destitution of the Country to do much. We hope with propicious seasons, restored industry & order, to be able in a year or so, to make our institutions self sustaining
At this juncture foreign relief must be obtained in order to get the enterprise started. Be please to let me hear from you, at your earliest leisure, and inform me of the prospect, of these people, getting help from the Bureau. 
All is peace and quiet with us and hopeful of a better day ahead.
