And there we have been working with what force we could command with fair success - though unable to preside one half the the Teachers actually necessary
The States in the "Valley of the Mississippi" including Alabama fall within the territory of [[Southern?]] and North Western Branches which Telegraph they gave great promise at first have outdone what was expected of them.
Of course this division is not arbitrary, but it accounts for our schools being along the Atlantic border, and as we continue supply our own territory it is impossible for us to go into other fields.
I wish we could help you but it is out of the question.
Should I go South again I shall hope to see you.
