I returned a fortnight ago from my summer journey, & found that Mrs. Hampton, the teacher of my parish school, had not been able to obtain a settlement of her account from Mr. Buckley. Three months salary, $120, was owing to her, which I paid out of my own purse, & she has returned to her home.
