I find in Judge Pulham and Major Powell - friends - I think. I am to board with Major J. I think I have a good Boarding place. I presume, Mr. Buckley, you would not have me forward in discussion with regard to political questions which are prone to arise - I believe it is best to navigate as quietly and steadily as possible - But I find it quite difficult, sometimes to elude a discussion which might in the end result in unpleasant feeling - you see, Dear Sir, I take the liberty which you vouch [[?]] me of writing to you plainly.
