Sir,
The school house located in Baldwin County on Eastern Shore requires thorough repairing and enlarging to accommodate at least 100 scholars now enrolled. The Superintendent of Education Am. Miss. Association informs me that Dr. Moore wrote that the Asst. Commissioner would authorize the expenditure of one hundred and fifty dollars for this purpose. The colored people have already commenced the work and were here yesterday to see about money. They can get credit to finish it if they can be assured that the money will be forthcoming. Shall I approve vouchers for amount?
