Genl Callis
Dear Sir
In Madison Co. Ala I have employed Edward Jones Col’d, I sent him to Paint Kork circuit. He has worked will on bread and water and wased corn, put up a building 20 by 40 ft for School and Church purposes the School to commence first of next month. There are no windows doors of floor. They need a little help. There is a very large population in that valley and nothing has been done for them until recently.
We appeal to you in behalf of these poor Freedmen for $50, to enable them to make them building comfortable for school.
Yours Very Resply.
