Dear Sir,

Your communication in answer to one sent by me to Gen. Swayne came duely to hand some days ago. 

In reply the young ladies; Miss. Lucinda L. Diffenderfer and Miss Marion Kirkwood, through the same source as their former communication wish to return their thanks both to yourself and the Gen. for the promptness with which you acted on and the favor you confered by replying thus soon to their application. 

And now in as few words as possible their family wishes. Which are, that you consider their application before you till such time in the fall as your new regulations take effect. They would also at your earliest convenience like to know something of what your school system will be. Also what will be the probable remuneration
