Dear Sir:
Yours of the 21st inst. to Col. Anderson, was received just as he was starting for Boston. Having no time to reply, he requested me to write you.

The Telegram, rec. Feb.20th "Send them (Mr & Mrs Adams) at once", did not admit of the delay of procuring transportation from Washington, had the Com. been aware of the necessity of making application there.

In the case of Miss
