- We had not designed building a large house at Stevenson.  My idea was one capable of accommodating say 200 or 250 scholars.  I cannot say now certainly but I fear, unless funds come in more freely than they have done thus far that we shall [[strikethrough]] be [[/strikethrough]] hardly be able to undertake the re-erection of the school house there.  I hoped if we bought a house at Nashville, that you could have agreed to take it down & erect it at Stevenson.  We find it so hard to get funds, & our directors are not willing to go in debt.

We hope to have two teachers at Stevenson, if the house used last year [[strikethrough]] will [[/strikethrough]] after the burning will shelter them at all
