Dr Sir. I am this morning in receipt of several Vouchers you returned to me for explanation
First Mr Outlaws School building belongs to the Freedmen Lewis D. McGraws was built by the United States Government in the year 1866, the land has since that time been sold to a freedman where the school building stands (I do not Know whether Mr McGraw has to pay rent for the building or not) Thos M. McGraws belongs to the Freedmen Miss A. E. McGraws belongs to her Father the 3 McGraws Reports were made by Lewis. D. McGraws the father of Thos M & A. E. McGraws I send you Joshua Harris Report he is a colored teacher and has to pay Ten Dollars per month to Mrs Clingman for the rent of his School building the cause of my reporting W. G. Lees Schools at Sparta was by your instruction in a former Letter his school building was paid for by you  I will return the McGraw Vouchers to you for your disposal Very Respectfully
