Augustus Purefoy a colored man was Teaching in L8R11 in march for three weeks in the colored meeting House a tolerable good house. and it was burned down by our enemies. a man near by offered another house to finish the school when he was told that if he did they would burn that also so they had to give it up. Our Normal school is a little thinner now but will request again soon.
