Avance was founded 15 years ago to train young mothers in the skills of parenting. The program has proven to be highly successful in tightening the weave of the family fabric thus breaking the parent-to-child downward spiral of poverty, illiteracy, child abuse and welfare dependency.

Advance's educational programs for parents and children have earned national admiration. A Carnegie Institute study for program replication, two editorials and an article in The New York Times earlier this year, and an ABC network news feature last month, combined with many inquiries from government and private agencies, attest to the effectiveness of this San Antonio-born organization.

To celebrate Avance's Quinceanera, come and share the opening night excitement of the largest recent exhibition of Mexican artists. This Mexican modern art exhibition, in the beautiful surroundings of Charles Court complex, will feature mel Casas, a San Antonio artist with an international reputation.

Come and enjoy the fine art, food and refreshments. Celebrate Avance's 15th year for the benefit of this worthy San Antonio organization.
