Mamma dearest,

I am afraid I delayed the last letter I wrote you while I was in Paris as I carried it down here by mistake. It was in my bag and I forgot to mail it. We have been here now three days and I have spent most of the time sleeping as it is so quiet and I needed a good rest. We went to Fontaincleau one day as Bonney had to see the lawyer. Of course he has lost his case in regard to the apartment in Paris and has to pay the rent for the entire time as they say the Americans can afford it. The one advantage is that the French money has gone down so much - we can buy 17.5 francs for a dollar now so it is not as bad as it might be. In regard to the place here, one
