June 16, 1949 Lulette, dearest, How sweet of you to write me when I have not answered your last letter. I am going to tell you why at once, you are a very understanding person. Well! I have been going through a brain storm as to whether to go to Southampton or go back to my place at Lyme. What ever I do it will be hard. I have finally decided to go back to Lyme, as there does not seem to be any chance of selling it at present, at least not for a price I would accept. So I feel I should take care of the place and have my furniture moved back. Also I am not sure I would care to leave my friends at Lyme and be completely with the Keyes family. So I think it is all for the best. Now, I am so very happy that you will be 1 10/4/94
