Dear Mrs. Thompson:

I was reading your letter to "Tante Bess" (Vonnoh Keyes) aloud to her the other day. She was so pleased & happy to get your news but doesn't feel like writing quite yet. 
She was taken with a slight thrombosis just before the first of the month while she was dining with the Betts Family at the National Arts Club & was rushed to the New York Hospital. Last Monday I moved her to the Regent Nursing Home at 115 East 61 Street which is in the same building with her Dr. Kirby Martin. She is coming along slowly & is being "walked" every day by the nurses. Just as soon as he says the word (Dr. Martin, I mean) she can be
