I am now on the way to Boston for a meeting on the chapel we are doing next to the auditorium and from there I fly to Chicago where to morrow I have a meeting with the Building Comittee for the New Lutheran University that we are doing in Fort Wayne Indiana - this is a very interesting architectural problem because it is building a whole new University from scratch on a virgin site for 450 students - then to-morrow nite I come back to Michigan - this is the first time Your Mother and I have been away from each other since the wedding and it seems very unfair - than to-morrow nite Aline will first meet Girard who is coming from New Mexico and then me at the airport [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] (she likes the power steering) and then Friday Saturday and Sunday Girard and I will work very hard on the house I mentioned for Columbus Indiana - than Sunday nite Aline and I take a plane for Ottowa Canada where she has a story to get about art in Canada and wher I am on the jury for a large architectural competition for the new [[strikethrough]] art [[/strikethrough]] National Art Gallery for Canada - Alfred Barr is also on the jury - there we stay until Tuesday nite when we take a plane to Montreal and from there a little ski train up into the mountans - after about two hours of stopping at French Canadian towns like San Seveur, St Margarete, St Agat, St Juste and a few more saints we get to Mount Tremblant - which is the best place to ski in Eastern Canada - the interesting thing has happened - but don't tell your mother I told you - she seems to be nibbeling a bit at the idea of sneaking into a beginners class - wether she will or not I cannot predict - we may never know wether she did - I would not worry about broken bones - nothing is safer than such a class - It is not a discouraging thing either because skiing is very exciting on every level - basically you compete with yourself and not with others - oh it may be a bit discouraging when some little 8 year old who has never been on skies before catches on in a day what will take for your mother 3 days to do but I think she can survive that. Tremblant Lodge is built like a village at the foot of the mountain and the ski lift (chair lift goes straight up to the top from there - next to the chair lift there is a brand new diner called the flying mile. Tremblant is better than the other places in the East
