A model of a new core (f.i. St. Die) and a model of a Greek Agora (F.I. Priene, Fourth Century) should illustrate the problem.
4. Spatial imagination and the synthesis of the arts
This part of the exhibition will show:
a. experiments in architecture for a new flexible modelling of interior space in comparison with possibilities discovered by the structural engineer.
b. executed buildings where the interrelation of contemporary architecture, painting and sculpture had already been attempted.
5. The dynamic relationship between methods of industralized production, urbanism and building design.
The industrialization of building as an inescapable evolutionary force. The productive and destructive use of industrialization. The cooperation of architect and industry in the standardization of structural elements, expecially housing and prefabrication.
6. The problem of housing and of new cities in technically undeveloped countries.
One of the most important developments is the attitude of the western man to the way of life and civilization of the "primitives" as well as the better understanding between the western and the highly civilized eastern mentality.
To illustrate these problems many examples can already be shown from Africa, India to South America. They will show how the western architect learned to understand the way of life and the problems of these countries and tries to help them in providing them with his technical knowledge and experience.
7. Trends in the youngest generation.
The exhibition is framed by the works of the creators and should end in showing the different trends which can be observed in the works of young architects and planners.
