It was somebody, it was a 57th Street dealer. EM Bertha Schaefer? JL No. EM I wonder who it was. JL I can't remember. I know the face of the man. EM Babcock? JL No. EM Carmen Dalesio? JL No. It's an English name.1 EM I can't think. JL A 57th Street dealer, and I wanted to buy it, but it was too expensive for me. EM Much more than Hartley paid for it. JL Yes, it was, it was. A lot more, so I was reluctant. I still regret it now because it was such a wonderful drawing. EM I had a slide made of your bust, of the bronze. I had it made in color because it gives much more of the roundness of a sculpture when you have it in color. JL Yes, of course, of course.
