Links give slide presentation on Black Art at Freedom Hall

The South Suburban Chicago Chapter of Links, Inc. recently observed Black History Month with a slide presentation of Black art. The event was held at Freedom Hall in Park Forest. Nina Cain, a student at UICC and resident of Park Forest South gave the slide presentation which included the contribution of African American artist from the American slave period through the struggle for social political, and cultural awareness. Pictured from left to right are Dr. John Nunley, professor of African Art, UICC; Norman Parish, Artist, Nina Cain, Dr. Margaret Burroughs who accepted a contribution for the DuSable Museum of African American History, and Ernest DeBurrows, artist.
