rooms down stairs, that on the stairs they met Mr J B Stearns to whom the said Elliott addressed himself using abusive language called the said Stearns a liar & the means of all his Elliotts trouble by hanging said picture in an improper & inapropriate place where the same could not be viewed to proper advantage - Deponent further says that the conduct and actions of said Elliott were such that many ladies then attending said Exhibition retired & left the same, that the conduct aforesaid was calculated to bring disgrace & disrepute upon the institution and was disorderly and improper
