1927 
Spends summer in Woodstock, New York.
Paintings and Drawings by Kuniyoshi, The Arts Club of Chicago, April 29 - May 20.

1928 
Second trip to Europe is spent almost entirely in Paris. Sailed from New York City May 19, arriving in Liverpool, England on June 1. Travels from London to Paris on June 10. In Spain during June, then returns to Paris. Sees a great deal of Jules Pascin, whom he had known at the Penguin Club in New York City. Is greatly impressed by his work, and through him meets a number of Paris artists, among them Soutine. Kuniyoshi's work in Paris devoted almost entirely to making lithographs at Atelier Desjoubert. Had previously made lithographs from zinc plates, but works exclusively on stone for the first time. Leaves Cherbourg, France for New York City November 17, arriving November 27.
