One fund will support the planning and implementation of an arts education program initiative that is based on a national Bearden curriculum project. The other fund will be used to nurture the artistic talent and the educational aspiration of talented African American students who seek to advance their art education by attending art schools or art programs.

Artists Support Fund

Scholarships will be provided on a competitive basis primarily to African American art students who are identified by their teachers as having a particular artistic aptitude and a strong aspiration to continue their educational pursuits in art school programs and colleges but who lack the financial resources to realize their goals.
