Sat. July 11, 64

Dearest Nina, Thank you for your letter of July 7. Mazotte is marvellously quiet & rural, but I'm not quite ready to have the dreamy relaxed time you are talking about. Too many involved problems. The main one is of course money. We have to have enough to tide us over well into September. Does that seem possible? I think that if we get paid by Ganz & "Old" Power, we'll be able to swing it comfortably, but that may be overoptimistic on my part. Please tell Nancy to send me a detailed report on the financial situation (projected past September 1st)

And now a large number of specific questions, as they come to my mind (not in order of importance)

1 Did you hear from Harold Kaye? The $10000, if & when the come, are to be deposited to my account until further notice. If Ileana needs some or all of the amount, I'll write further

2 Did you find the Noland If not, what is being done about it? If it really got lost its value is $3000.- [[E?]] will give an estimate.
