Preparation of Underwall  1

Asphaltine paint shall be applied to the present hollow [[strikethrough]] tile [[/strikethrough]] tile underwall. this shall be applied in 2 coats before erection of furring. After erection of furring all holes for loggle bolts shall be stopped and painted and edges of channels covering holes shall be caulked with asphaltum. Asphalting shall be finished and free from holes and uncovered spots, and shall be carried 2 feet beyond internal angle at top edge of wall and onto ceiling. It shall be carried 6 inches below horizontal edge to be furred. It shall be carried one foot beyond vertical edge if possible. All metal lathing channeling and other members adjacent to the wall to be frescoed shall be galvanized or if already in place shall be coated with rust proof paint or asphaltine
