Dear Jake:

Some good news---the gallery now represents the estate of Arthur Dove. Charles Alan was working for Edith Halpert when the Downtown Gallery closed officially. Charles was instrumental in persuading William Dove that this gallery would be the best place for the estate. He is now working for me. I am sure Charles' experience and knowledge will be beneficial to the gallery.

Luise has enclosed your statement. We have been promised payment on one of the gouaches by the end of the month. The last of the "Builders" series is on reserve to a client in Cincinatti and it looks like a sure sale.

I expect to be in San Francisco March 11th for the opening of the King show. I hope you'll still be there. Let me know when you're leaving for Washington and also where you'll be staying.

Our lawyer for the gallery, Ephraim London will write you directly regarding the Shorewood Publication correspondence. Thank you for your letters and copies of letters.

Amy Spingarn stopped by and said how much she enjoyed your Christmas card. She's a remarkable woman.

We all send you our best... and Gwen too.

                                    Fondly,
Enclosure Terry
