Instructions for New Members 
Members elected in the Fall of 1958 and Spring of 1959.
Upon admission to the N.A.W.A. one piece of your work was selected to be hung in the Annual Exhibition, and is jury-free. A special sticker bearing the President's signature was sent for the work chosen for the Annual. Regular entry card should also be attached.
Artists accepted in:
1-Oil or Watercolor-have the privilege of sending for jurying two graphics OR two small pieces of sculpture.
2-Sculpture-have the privilege of sending for jurying two graphics.
3-Graphics-have the privilege of sending for jurying two additional graphics OR two small pieces of sculpture.
4-Miniature-have the privilege of sending for jurying two graphics OR two small pieces of sculpture.

Entrance Fee 
A fee of $3.00 will be charged for each oil, watercolor and sculpture accepted. A fee of $2.00 will be charged for each miniature and each graphic accepted. Members will be billed when the show is hung.

Photographs 
Photographs of work you intend to submit may be mailed to the Argent Gallery prior to April 25, for two purposes: First; for the use of the press(if they wish to use them). Second; for possible selection for reproduction in the Annual Catalog. Photos should be marked on back "Can be used for catalog reproduction." Such marking will signify your willingness to pay the cost of plate-$8 to $11-if used. Photos will be taken of all prize winning work - No other photos will be taken. In regard to prize winning work; We shall assume, unless a member notifies in writing to the contrary, that a prize winner will be willing to pay for catalog plate and photos-if photos have not been sent or are not suitable for reproduction. Cost of photos-for Sculpture $5.00 for 2 prints, all other materials $4.50 for 2 prints.

Liability 
Every care will be taken to insure the safety of all work but the N.A.W.A is not responsible for for loss or damage, no matter how the same may be caused. Re-photographs-The N.A.W.A. will not be responsible for the return of any photos unless stamped addressed envelope is enclosed.

Entry Cards 
The enclosed entry cards must be carefully filled in on all indicated lines. One entry card must be attached to each work.

Sales and Commissions 
All work must be marked with a price, otherwise it will be marked N.F.S. in catalog. N.A.W.A. will also take a 25% commission on any work sold.

Invitation Calendar of Events 
Invitation to the Opening and Calendar of Events will be available to send friends. Pick them up at National Academy on Receiving Day, or call for them at N.A.W.A. office, 236 East 60th Street, two weeks prior to the opening. All embers are urged to mail as many Calendar of Events as possible so that we may have a better attendance at our 67th Annual.

Prizes 
Medals of Honor will be awarded in four categories: Oil, Watercolor, Casein or Pastel-Sculpture and Graphic Arts. Honorable Mentions are given at the discretion of the jury. A partial list of cash prizes is listed on an enclosed sheet, more will be announced later.
