Endst of Capt. Flagg Supt 1st Dist Va. Respectfully referred to Col. I Brown Asst. Comr Bureau of RF and AL for Va. Richmond, Va. with request that the bill be forwarded to the Bureau officers in North Carolina for collection. This man need to work at Fort Monrow Va. and being acquainted with me walked (70) seventy miles to see me & get my advice. I gave him the advice he sought and now asks as a favor that this Bill be collected at once by the officer in charge of Northampton Co N.C. and that it be paid over to Stephen Joiner the husband and father of the laborers. Ends't of Col. O Brown Asst Comr. for Virginia  Respectfully forwarded to Col. E. Whittlesey Asst. Commissioner for North Carolina. Ends't of Col. E. Whittlesey Asst. Comr. Respectfully referred to Major Wiley Supt. &c. for investigation and report. Respectfully referred to Lieut. Cox Asst. Supt. Sub. Dist. of Tarboro, who will summons the parties to appear, with their witnesses before him at Halifax at such time as he may designate and render such judgement in the case as may be just, returning these papers with report of his action.

Wishes to know whether there is any fixed charge for Indentures of Apprenticeship; states that the Bureau is charging ($11.50) eleven dollars and fifty cents for each apprentice.

A Jenkins, with the information that the only charge authorized is fifty cents for each Indenture. He is earnestly requested to furnish the names of the parties who have been charged a greater sum, and of the officer who received the same, that the matter may be investigated.

Endorsement of Capt. Thos P. Johsnton A.Q.M. Respectfully returned. I have made one issue of clothing to Chaplain Geo O. Glavis U.S.A., on the 20th of January 1866 which included fifty (50) per Trowsers, foot 50 fifty Flannel Shirts and fifty (50) per Boots
