NARA 14 24 [[two columns follow: the second column is a narrative, and extends several lines to a very short first column] | | | | |to Grand Larceny which is not considered a light offence either by the Common Law, the statutes of N.C. or of any other State. The same will apply to the crime of receiving and concealing of the property knowing it to be stolen. I am familiar with no laws which would deem thirty days imprisonment for either offense. It is therefore recommended that the case be dismissed, the fine returned that the accused may be brought to trial either before a Civil Court or a General Court Martial. Bu. R.F. and A.L.
