Makes statement concerning his arrest, imprisonment, trial and fine by Chaplain Glavis. Endorsement of Col. E Whittlesey. Respectfully referred thro' the Supt of the Central Dist to Chaplain Glavis Asst. Supt. &c. who will forward a full report of the proceedings in this case. Respectfully referred to Chap Geo O. Glavis whose attention is called to the endorsement of the Asst. Commissioner

Wishes to have the Fair Ground Building at Goldsboro vacated as it is private property. Endorsement of Chaplain Glavis. Respectfully referred to Capt. Geo. C. Almy Supt C.D. To give up the Fair Ground buildings now would be equivalent to closing the Freedmens school in this place.  Respectfully forwarded to the Asst Commissioner. I have been informed by the Supt of Education that the school in the Fair Ground building at Goldsboro is in a very prosperous condition and to break it up now, by vacating the building would be a very serious disaster. No other accommodations can be obtained for the school at present, but measures are in progress to that end
As soon as these measures are successfully consummated, the premises will be vacated. In my opinion this application is made more from prejudices than from any desire to use the building for  the purpose designated
