States that he has notified Mr. James Blackwell to pay Harry Blackwell (colored) $28.00 which James Blackwell refuses to do. Asks for information whether under the present orders he can be compelled to pay it by Military force. Continuation of endorsement Endst of Capt. W.W. Jones. Respectfully returned to Bvt Col. A.G. Brady Supt. Central Dist. with the information that there is no record of the testimony of this case in this office & that I received information from Danl. Pascall formerly Asst to Capt Evans at this office and also from Harry Blackwell (colored) Ptff [Plaintiff] in this case, that Capt Evans rendered the within judgment
Respectfully returned to Capt. W.W. Jones who will investigate this case and if necessary give it a new hearing. If upon investigation you find the judgment fully sustained you will again notify said James Blackwell to pay the sum due and if he then refuses, report the fact to these Hd Quarters returning these papers with full record of testimony and judgment
