Makes affidavit in relation to a debt owned to him by Henry Taylor.

Respectfully returned with affidavit of Geo. H. Snow Esqr of Raleigh N.C. employer and friend of Henry Taylor (Freedman) who appeared as his representative. This case appears to have come up before Capt. Almy once before and would refer to his records.
Henry Taylor although at work in this County resides at Raleigh and is up there every week, referring particularly to Mr. Snow's affidavit I think the case is clear.

States that her husband Allen Robinson deserted her, leaving her with two small children to support. She cannot get work, white people not wishing to hire a woman with family. Her husband is at work for Weldon R.R. at Pleasant Hill Depot N.C. Requests that he be made to at least suppor the children.

Respectfully forwarded to Genl. C. Brown with the request that this communication may be referred to the nearest Asst Supt. with instructions to require this man to support his children.
