Mr.Frank George
Colville Agency
Nespelem, Washington

Dear Frank:

I have had some suggestions that the convention date should be changed from the last week in August to the first few days in June. They claim that August conflicts with some work projects the Indians in the area might be engaged in, and that if we change it until June it would be better for the majority of Indians in that area.

I have not taken this matter up with the Executive Council, but wondered what you think about it. Will you please let me have your ideas on this.

We, of course should hold a convention there when it would be most convenient for most Indians. When we fixed the date for the last week in August it appeared that it would be most satisfactory for Indians throughout other parts of the country. Of course, we want to accommodate the Indians in that area if we can.
Sincerely,

N.B. Johnson
President, NCAI
