RESOLUTION NO. 20

BE IT RESOLVED that the National Congress of American Indians urges the Commissioner of Indian Affairs to eliminate the entirely unjustified delays and to take prompt action on the approval or disapproval of all Indian attorney contracts now pending before him or to be submitted in the future; and urges the Commissioner to take steps towards obtaining legal counsel for all Indian tribes who wish to file claims before the Indian Claims Commission and have not yet been able to obtain attorneys for that purpose.

Mr. Madrano moved that Resolution No. 20 be adopted. Motion was seconded by Mr. George. Motion was agreed to.
